Day 1

17 July 2026 — Academic Conclave

The first day was dedicated to academic deliberation on advances in horticultural science, featuring inaugural formalities, distinguished guest addresses, and technical talks by renowned experts.

Inaugural Session

The programme commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest and dignitaries, followed by the lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Dr. Shama Parveen, Dean, School of Agriculture, welcomed the guests, while Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Upadhyay, Vice Chancellor, ITM University Gwalior, delivered the presidential address outlining the vision of AAMOTSAV 3.0.

The technical talks were followed by an interactive session that allowed students and faculty to engage directly with the speakers on contemporary issues in horticulture.

Running parallel to the technical sessions, a Poster and Slogan Writing Competition was organised giving students a platform to showcase their creativity and scientific understanding.

Day 2

18 July 2026 — Aam Mahotsav (Mango Festival)

Day 2 transformed the campus into a vibrant celebration of India's most beloved fruit—the mango. Organised jointly by the School of Agriculture, ITM University Gwalior and ICAR–CISH, Lucknow, the festival blended culture, cuisine, storytelling, exhibitions and academic insights.

Festival Inauguration

The festival was inaugurated at 11:30 AM by Shri Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), along with Shri Junaid Fareedi of Rataul. The guests were welcomed with a traditional safa, garland and angavastram.

Mango Platter Exhibition

A colourful exhibition showcasing mango-based dishes, desserts, beverages and chaat remained open from 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM. The programme also included a documentary screening followed by the inaugural address.

Mango Tales — Storytelling Sessions:

The cultural heart of the festival featured storytelling sessions on the lore and legacy of the mango. Shri Junaid Fareedi of Rataul presented 'Mango: Another Point of India-Pakistan Debate - The Sweet and Juicy Mango' (12:35 PM to 1:05 PM), while noted food historian Shri Sohail Hashmi followed with 'Aam Kiska - Khaas Ka Ya Ki Aam Ka?' (whose mango is it - the elite's or the common man's?).
