अनुपम मिश्र स्मृति व्याख्यान-5 was organised by ITM University Gwalior on the occasion of World Ozone Day 2026, bringing together ideas, experience and action for a healthier, greener and more sustainable planet. The fifth edition of this signature lecture focused on the theme “जल, जंगल और ऑक्सीजन: एक सुखद एवं सतत पृथ्वी की ओर” (Water, Forests and Oxygen: Towards a Happy and Sustainable Earth).

About the Event

The अनुपम मिश्र स्मृति व्याख्यान is a signature academic and public-engagement initiative of ITM University Gwalior inspired by the values associated with Anupam Mishra’s work on water, environment, traditional knowledge and community-led conservation.

The fifth edition was held in connection with World Ozone Day and placed the interconnected concerns of water, forests and oxygen at the centre of the dialogue. The lecture highlighted the need to move beyond awareness towards responsible, community-oriented environmental action.

Through this event, ITM University Gwalior seeks to encourage students, faculty members and the wider community to understand environmental challenges and contribute to practical solutions for ecological sustainability.

Shri Uma Shankar Pandey is a Padma Shri Awardee, renowned social activist and water warrior. His participation brought valuable grassroots perspectives on water conservation and sustainable environmental practices to the lecture.
