The school offers a Diploma program in Pharmacy. This is a 2-year PCI approved course with an annual intake of 60 students. The Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical sciences and prepares them for a career as a pharmacy technician or assistant pharmacist.
The ITM School of Pharmacy, established in 2018, at ITM University Gwalior offers the Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) programme, a two-year professional course approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The programme is designed to prepare competent and ethically responsible pharmacy professionals to meet the growing demands of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. The D. Pharm curriculum provides a strong foundation in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, and hospital & community pharmacy. Emphasis is placed on hands-on laboratory training, dispensing practice, patient counselling, and professional ethics, ensuring a balanced integration of theory and practice. The programme is supported by well-equipped laboratories, experienced faculty, and modern teaching–learning methodologies. Industrial exposure and practical training form an integral part of the curriculum, enabling students to develop real-world skills and professional confidence. Upon successful completion, students are eligible for registration as a pharmacist and can pursue careers in community and hospital pharmacies, pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality control, sales and marketing, healthcare services, or opt for higher studies in pharmacy. As per PCI norms, D. Pharm students must complete a mandatory 500-hour practical training program, typically lasting at least 3 months, following their second-year examination. This training must be completed at a hospital, dispensary, or pharmacy and is required for registration as a pharmacist. In addition to well-equipped laboratories, the school provides practical training at ITM Hospital, where students gain hands-on experience in real patient handling, dispensing practices, and hospital pharmacy operations, ensuring strong clinical exposure and professional competence.
To be eligible for the Diploma in Pharmacy course, the students must have a minimum of 50% or 10+2 (PCB/M with English)
