The ITM Journal of Smart Nursing & Healthcare Technology (IJSNHT) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in nursing sciences, healthcare, allied health sciences, public health, and emerging healthcare technologies. Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses should follow internationally accepted reporting guidelines (such as PRISMA) and provide a rigorous synthesis of available evidence to support clinical practice, nursing education, healthcare management, or policy development.

4. Case Reports and Case Series

Case Reports should describe rare, unusual, or clinically significant patient cases that offer valuable insights into nursing care, clinical decision-making, patient safety, healthcare management, or innovative treatment approaches. Patient confidentiality and informed consent must be ensured.

The Title Page should be submitted as a separate document and must include:

• Corresponding author's full name
• Running title (maximum 10 words)

Abstract

The abstract should:

• Be written as a single paragraph for Review Articles, Short Communications, and Case Reports.
• For Original Research Articles, a structured abstract with the headings Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion is preferred.
• Clearly summarize the purpose, methodology, major findings, and conclusions of the study.
• Be informative, concise, and understandable without referring to tables, figures, or references.
• Not exceed 300 words.

Abbreviations

• Define all abbreviations at their first appearance in the manuscript.
• Use only standard and internationally accepted abbreviations.
• Avoid excessive use of abbreviations, especially in the title and abstract.

Introduction

The Introduction should:

• Present the background and significance of the study.
• Briefly review relevant literature.
• Identify the research gap or clinical problem.
• Clearly state the rationale and objectives of the study.
• Avoid an extensive review of the literature.

Materials and Methods

This section should include:

• Study design
• Study setting
• Duration of the study
• Study population and sample size
• Inclusion and exclusion criteria
• Sampling technique
• Data collection tools and procedures
• Outcome measures
• Statistical analysis

Results

The Results section should:

• Present findings in a logical sequence.
• Use text, tables, and figures without unnecessary duplication.
• Report statistical findings with appropriate measures (e.g., p-values, confidence intervals).
• Include only relevant results related to the study objectives.

Discussion

The Discussion should:

• Interpret the study findings.
• Compare results with previous studies.
• Explain the clinical, educational, or public health significance of the findings.
• Discuss strengths and limitations of the study.
• Suggest implications for nursing practice, education, research, or healthcare policy.

Conclusion

The Conclusion should:

• Summarize the key findings of the study.
• Highlight the contribution to nursing and healthcare.
• Provide practical recommendations where appropriate.
• Avoid introducing new information not presented in the results.

Figures and Images

Figures should:

• Be of high resolution (minimum 300 dpi).
• Be submitted separately in JPEG, TIFF, or PNG format.
• Include figure legends.
• Obtain copyright permission where applicable.
• Avoid patient-identifying information.

Ethical Requirements

Studies involving human participants must provide:

• Institutional Ethics Committee approval number.
• Informed written consent.

Access to Journal Content

The journal promotes broad dissemination of scholarly knowledge. Published articles are made available through the journal website according to the journal's access policy, ensuring integrity, permanence, and appropriate citation of all published content.

Duties of Journal Staff

Editorial office staff manage manuscript processing efficiently, maintain accurate records, assist authors and reviewers, protect confidential information, and support timely publication while adhering to ethical publishing standards.

Duties of Editors

Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, originality, scientific quality, relevance, and ethical compliance. Editorial decisions are made without discrimination based on nationality, gender, institutional affiliation, or personal beliefs.

Editors are responsible for selecting qualified reviewers, ensuring a fair peer review process, maintaining confidentiality, addressing ethical concerns, and correcting or retracting published work when necessary.

Confidentiality

Editors, reviewers, and editorial staff shall not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts except to individuals directly involved in the editorial and publication process.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Editors, reviewers, and authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts that could influence editorial decisions or research findings. Individuals with significant conflicts should recuse themselves from handling or reviewing the manuscript.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must submit only original work that has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere.
