Structure of Entrance Written Test Ph.D. Program-2013:

  • Question paper for each discipline will consists of two parts as follows :
    1. Part I :
      • Component A: General analytic skill/ mental ability/ reasoning.
      • Component B: English Communication Skill (10+2 level).
    2. Part II : Related to relevant discipline
  • Course content is as prescribed by the university (refer www.itmuniversity.ac.in).
  • Structure of Part I :
    • All questions will be purely objective and will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
    • Each MCQ will carry four marks and will have four alternative answers.
    • There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
    • There shall be 40 (Forty) MCQs from component A and 20 MCQ from component B, in total 60 MCQ from part I carrying total marks 240.
    • All MCQ’s are to be attempted within 45 minutes.
  • Strucutre of Part II :
    • Part II will have two sections :
      • Sections I : Objective Type which will have 40 MCQs
      • Section II : Descriptive Type Which will have eight questions out of which 4 have to be attempted.
    • Each MCQ will carry four marks and will have four alternative answers.
    • There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
    • Section I shall be of 160 marks and Section II shall be of 100 marks in total carrying 260 marks.
    • Duration for answering Section I is 30 minutes and that of Section II is 1 Hour.
    • Grand Total marks for a question paper shall be 500.
